Apple introduced the iPhone 4S at its "Lets Talk iPhone" event last October 4, 2011. The news was quite disappointing to many people who were expecting to have iPhone 5. If you look closely, iPhone 4S looks almost identical to iPhone 4. With this new innovaton, Apple made a number of changes for iPhone 4S to improve on performance, faster processor, advanced camera and a new antenna design. Even they make some changes and upgrades, their customers are expecting to have iPhone 5 on the market. Humors to have iPhone 5 on early summer of 2012.

Processor and Battery Life:
iPhone 4S features Apple's A5 dual-core 1GHz processor along with a dual-core GPU. The chipset makes the iPhone 4S twice as fast than iPhone 4 and even more upgraded graphics performance that is even nine times faster than iPhone 4. iPhone 4S provides 8 hours of talk time over 3G, 14 hours 2G, 6 hours browsing over 3G, 9 hours Wi-Fi, 11 hours video playback, and 40 hours music playback from iTunes.

Siri:
Apple introduced the new voice call assistant called Siri. It doesnt completely replace the current voice control feature, but certainly does a whole lot more. Siri is design to deliver information or follow commands that you give. Like for example, you can check the weather, set up for reminder, get directions to where you wish to go, trivia and a lot more. Siri also uses Wikipedia to check facts, and we know that Wikepedia has all the information you need.

Camera:
iPhone 4's 5 megapixel camera was already great but its about to get better. The iPhone 4S has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus, flash, aperture lens, and a backside-illuminated CMOS sensor that allows 73 percent more light than the previous sensor and should deliver better low-light performance. A hybrid IR filter is also onboard for better color performance. Apple also claims that the new camera performance 33 percent faster than the iPhone 4's camera, and the A5 processor has a built-in image processor that adds face detection and 26 percent better auto white balance.

iOS5:
The iPhone 4S will now introduced iOS5, which is Apple's latest version of its operating system. It is not a huge upgrade, but we welcome the new features like the advanced notifications and easy access to all applocations.

Design:
iPhone 4S is identical to iPhone 4. Aside from being 0.1 ounce heavier, the iPhone 4S is exactly the same sizes as predecessor. One thing Apple did redesign is the antenna system. The new design will hopefully prevent another Antennagate situation and Apple says to expect even better call quality.

In the end the decision to buy and iPhone 4S will depend on your current usage. If you feel the phone will be more useful for you, then its time to get this product. Consumers are still expecting the new iPhone 5 in the future.

How to Boot from the External Hard Drive

How to delete Forgotten Password in Windows

1. Insert your system disc on your optical drive.

2. While the disc is running, press F9 to get into Boot Options Menu

3. Select CD/DVD which is always the first option to choose

4. Click Repair to go to the Recovery Console

5. Type "notepad" on the command line.

6. Go to File then Open C:\Windows\System32\ then find the Magnifier.exe and delete it.

7. Renamed the cmd.exe to magnifier.exe

8. Close Notepad

9. Type "Exit" to go out from the Recovery Console

10. Restart your computer and you can login without using a password.

Apple will released its iPhone 5 on October 4, 2011, with the new CEO Tim Cook leading the show after Steve Jobs resignation.

With the unconfirmed reports and humors, they say that iPhone 5 will be in the market 2 weeks after the launching. Rumors have scattered around for months about when exactly the new iPhone would arrived, with October looking increasingly likely.

It is a big challenge for Apple after the pressure of the Android Realm, with a confusing budget and high-end models but Apple chooses to put many of its eggs in fewer baskets and that would worked out same as iPhone 4. iPhone 4 in end has attained mainstream success.

Removing Write Protection from USB Drive

Drive Without an External Switch

Turn ON your computer and plug in your USB drive after the computer has been loaded.
Open "My Computer" and search the list of drives on the screen until you will find the USB drive.
Right-click on the name of your USB and click "Properties". When the options are loaded, go through with the tabs until you will see the option to remove the write protection. If this wont work, proceed to the next step.
Visit the company website for your USB drive. Find the help and support section of the website and seach for "write protection"
Find on the download section and search for the "write protection software remover". Download the program and please install it on your computer.
Open and install the software program. Go to "Option" and click "Remove the Right Protection" to unlock your USB drive.

Reminders:

When you buy your USB drive make sure you have the write protection switch to avoid future problems. If one computer is having some problems with USB drive, try to test the drive to another computer to make sure that the problem is in the drive not with your PC.

Launch MSN, go to Tools, General Options and find the option that says: "Allow automatic sign in when connected to the internet", Uncheck this option and then Exit MSN.

The Disk Cleanup tool helps you free up space on your hard disk to improve the performance of your computer. The tool identifies files that you can safely delete, and then enables you to choose whether you want to delete some or all of the identified files.

Use Disk Cleanup to:

Remove temporary Internet files.
Remove downloaded program files (such as Microsoft ActiveX controls and Java applets).
Empty the Recycle Bin.
Remove Windows temporary files such as error reports.
Remove optional Windows components that you don't use.
Remove installed programs that you no longer use.
Remove unused restore points and shadow copies from System Restore.

Tips: Typically, temporary Internet files take the most amount of space because the browser caches each page you visit for faster access later.

For Window 7 Users

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, then click Disk Cleanup. If several drives are available, you might be prompted to specify which drive you want to clean.

Determine whether the problem is caused by the Windows XP Service Pack 2 bug

1. Review these three symptoms, and determine if you experience any of them after you install the Windows XP Service Pack 2. You get the error message "Limited or No Connectivity" when:

You try to connect to a network.
You have a problem connecting to your local area network or to the Internet.
You keep on receiving an error message: "Acquiring IP Address" message if you experience these symptoms after installing the Windows XP Service Pack 2, then this bug is causing the problem. In this case go to Step #2, otherwise skip to Section 3 below

2. Download and run the Microsoft patch (KB884020). Run this update so as to install it.

3. Install this registry fix that follows:

Positioned between the business-targeted Latitude and the mainstream consumer Inspiron lines, Dell's Vostro has always been the type of computer that's half-meant for personal use, half for business: it's casual professional. The Vostro 3300, part of a revamped line from Dell, is a 13-inch laptop with a somewhat thick frame and a standard-voltage Core i3, i5, or i7 processor. It's not as slick as the more expensive Vostro V13, which takes much of its design ideas from the high-end Dell Adamo (the original model, not the newer XPS version), but it still has a bit of the Adamo magic in its looks and metal outer casing. More importantly, the 3300's price--starting at $599 for a Core i3 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 250GB hard drive--makes it very affordable.

The Vostro 3300 isn't going to turn heads, but it is one of the best, most affordable and lightweight small business 13-inchers we've seen, with its only significant drawback being battery life. It's so nice that we wonder why Dell hasn't offered this little guy up to mainstream consumers more eagerly.

The Vostro is meant to glide somewhere between personal and business, and that's exactly what the design of the 3300 suggests: metal and black define the outside, with squared-off edges on the front and back, and slightly rounded sides. The Vostro 3300 comes standard in Aberdeen Silver (which is what we had) in Core i3 configurations, with the option of adding Lucerne Red or Brisbane Bronze color schemes in the Core i5 configuration for an extra $40. Overall, the design lies somewhere between the trendy Adamo and the more utilitarian Latitude.

Plain, ThinkPad-esque matte-black defines the interior of this minimalist Dell, from the keyboard deck up to the material surrounding the above-screen Webcam. A few backlit media-control keys and a backlit power button above the keyboard are the only flashy touches. Because this Vostro has a slightly thick and squared bottom half, there's room to fit audio in/out jacks, an SD card slot, and a Wi-Fi toggle button on the front edge, although they're a little tightly packed together in the center below the track pad.

Above the keyboard, a small backlit touch-controlled media bar has basic play/pause and volume functions. It's useful, but not overly so for a business-focused machine. These might have been better spent on videoconferencing and other productivity-related toggles. To the right of these are a few LED indicators for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and battery status.

The track pad is wider and responds better than that of some brands we've seen. The plain discrete buttons below are nothing remarkable and could be slightly larger, but at least they're not overdesigned.

A 13.3-inch LED-backlit display on the Dell Vostro 3300 has a 16x9 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1,366x768 pixels, which is standard for most laptops up to 15 inches. These screens also come standard with antiglare, which is far rarer. The experience we had was excellent--the screen has the glare-free quality of a matte display, with the crispness found in a glossy coating. Text and video were easy to watch in any lighting.

The included 2-megapixel Webcam had better clarity, sound-recording and light sensitivity than most Webcams we've come across, making it perfect for video conferencing. A small LED light also indicates the camera's in record mode. Though the camera's professional, Dell's selection of cartoonish effect overlays in its included camera software can only be described as cheese-ball.

The Dell Vostro 3300 doesn't have a huge selection of ports, but it does have eSATA. It's lacking HDMI-out, however, which is a feature that's becoming nearly universal on all laptops (excluding Macs). Thankfully, at least there's Bluetooth.

Configuration options abound on the Vostro 3300, as is often the case with Dell laptops. Customization on Dell's Web site offers either a Core i3 or i5 processor, along with RAM configurations from 2GB to 4GB and hard drives from 250GB to 500, all at 7,200rpm. RAM can be expanded up to 8GB. Despite Core i3 and i5 processors being 64-bit-ready, Dell chose to make 32-bit Windows Home Premium the default OS. Upgrading to 32-bit Professional or 64-bit Home Premium costs an extra $70; 64-bit Professional, an extra $120.

Depending on the support software, memory and other options chosen, the Vostro 3300's price can climb above $1,000, where it no longer seems like a great bargain. We'd advise you keep software services to a minimum and focus on basic needs. Our configuration, at over $800, just straddles the border of what we'd consider paying before looking elsewhere.

Intel's Core i3 and i5 processors are both more than enough for any user's multimedia-viewing and multitasking needs. The i5 processor is notably faster, but we wouldn't be opposed to downgrading to a Core i3 based on our previous experience with the CPU, although our benchmarks on the Vostro 3300 are limited to the Core i5 configuration. It's excellent for most business needs, including PowerPoint, but our system did tend to run a bit noisily and warm after a few minutes of dedicated Hulu streaming.

As far as graphics go, there aren't any to speak of except for Intel's integrated HD GPU. This machine is perfect at handling video playback, but it can't handle games beyond casual or browser-based ones. Dell does offer discrete graphics--an Nvidia GeForce 310M GPU--on its highest-end Vostro 3300 configuration.

The Dell Vostro 3300 ran for 2 hours and 5 minutes on our video playback battery drain test, using the included 4-cell battery. Anything under 3 hours on a mainstream laptop is disappointing, and although the Vostro uses a lower-capacity 4-cell battery, it's a mar on an otherwise strong design. Yes, this is a budget laptop, but few business customers would want to risk such a brief amount of battery life when traveling. Upgrading to an 8-cell extended-life battery ($99) is a must.

The newest version of the MacBook Pro line surprisingly falls outside of those two extremes. The iconic unibody aluminum construction remains, as does its large glass multitouch trackpad (in fact, from the outside, the new MacBook Pro looks identical to its predecessor). But the revamped internal components are much more than a simple spec upgrade.

The 15- and 17-inch Pro models have moved to Intel's newer line of Core-i CPUs, from the older Core 2 Duo models (the 13-inch Pro, unfortunately, still uses a Core 2 Duo CPU). Both mainstream Core i5 and high-end Core i7 versions are available. This requires a new chipset architecture (courtesy of Intel) and a switch from the integrated Nvidia GeForce 9400 to Intel's built-in integrated graphics for the systems' default GPU.

We continue to pine for oft-requested extras such as HDMI, Blu-ray, and 3G, but at the same time, the Core i7 CPU is extremely impressive, both on paper and in action. With the 13-inch model still stuck with a Core 2 Duo CPU, this revamped 15-inch MacBook Pro now feels like the line's powerhouse flagship model.

As with the previous Macbook Pro Models, the unibody chassis starts with a solid block of aluminum, which is carved down, rather than a thin outer shell that has had support struts added to it. The result is a thin yet strong chassis that feels very solid and substantial. Even the $999 white polycarbonate MacBook now uses a similar body type.

We remain fond of the large trackpad that uses multitouch gestures for much of its functionality. In fact, touch controls are almost as vital to the MacBook as they are to the iPhone or iPad (plugging in a mouse is also an option, but you miss out on a lot of time-saving gesture controls that way).

Of the multitouch gestures, our favorite is sweeping moves with four fingers; left or right brings up the application switcher, and up hides all your active windows. Once you get used to that, going back to a regular touch pad is difficult. We've noted in the past year or so that many PC makers have added some form of multitouch functionality to their touch pads, but we have yet to find any that work as well as Apple's.

The 15.4-inch wide-screen display offers a 1,440x900-pixel native resolution, which is what we're used to from previous 15-inch MacBook Pro models. But with the growth of online HD video, and ever-higher resolutions for digital still and video cameras, some users will want more pixels to play with. A 1,680x1,050-pixel display option is now available, which costs an extra $100 (or $150 for a version that also includes an antiglare coating). Still, for a $2,000 laptop, the higher-resolution screen should be included by default.

The 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros have "automatic graphics switching," an Apple-engineered variation on Nvidia Optimum graphics-switching technology. The concept is simple: the system uses its integrated Intel graphics by default, and when an app launches that requires the discrete Nvidia GeForce 330M GPU, it seamlessly switches over to that, then turns it off when it is no longer required.

Previously, switching between the (integrated) GeForce 9400 and the (discrete) GeForce 9600 found in last year's MacBook Pros required you to manually flip a software switch on the power options menu, and then log out and log back in.

The GeForce 330M (available in 256MB and 512MB versions) is not a hard-core gaming powerhouse, but it should be capable of playing just about any current PC game--although you may have to dial down the detail levels or resolution for optimal frame rates. It's the seamless switching between GPUs that interests us more, as it lets you take advantage of the discrete graphics for HD video and gaming, but won't run down the battery when not in use. In the Mac version of Call of Duty 4 we got 34.5 frames per second at 1,440x900-pixel resolution, with 4XAA and other high-end graphics options turned on, and 59 frames per second at the same resolution, but medium in-game graphics settings.

The batteries in the entire 13-to-17-inch MacBook laptop lineup are currently nonremovable, but Apple claims the new Intel architecture (and some modest changes to the battery itself) will lead to improved battery life. Last year's 15-inch MacBook Pro ran for 5 hours and 5 minutes on our video playback battery drain test. This time around, we got just shy of 6 hours (5 hours and 56 minutes), which doesn't seem like a lot more, but keep in mind we're running a very powerful processor, and this score draws other high-end 15-inch laptops.

Apple has an above-average reputation for support, thanks in part to its collection of retail stores (as long as you live in a market served by one). MacBooks continue to include a standard, one-year, parts and labor warranty, but come with only 90 days of toll-free telephone support, which always strikes us as odd.

We're not the biggest fans of Windows Mobile, but this device is a good choice for mobile professionals who don't need a physical keyboard.

The 3.2 inch, 400 x 200 pixel touchscreen is among the brightest we've seen, even in direct sunlight. The accelerometer and touchscreen with haptic feedback were both responsive, if slow. Unfortunately, Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro requires the use of a stylus; its icons are too small for larger fingertips. Worse, the included telescoping stylus is easy to lose.

From Mobile Office to Wi-Fi to GPS, this phone offers plenty of functionality for the sophisticated user. But if you don't have a light, precise touch, you'll grow fraustrated quickly. Nevertheless, for Verizon Wireless customers, the Omnia is marginally better than the finicky BlackBerry Storm.

Caring For Your Printer

Printers don't generally require a lot of maintenance, but to extend the life of your printer, clean it regularly and follow any maintenance instructions provided by the manufacturer. Clean the outside by wiping it with a damp cloth whenever you replace an ink cartridge. Be careful not to get any moisture (or spill anything) on the inside of the printer. If necessary, use a soft brush or computer vacuum cleaner to remove dust and lint from the tray that feeds the paper into the printer. To eliminate dust and accidentally spills, you can cover the printer in between uses.
Ink residue can build up inside the printer housing over time. Residue can be removed with a damp cloth. Don't ever use alcohol, solvents, or other types of cleaners because they may damaged the printer. It is also not necessary or advisable to use any lubricants on metal parts, even if they are making noise. A certain amount of noise is normal as the print cartridge moves on the metal rod or cradle.

Don't place a printer too close to a window or heater / air conditioning vent. Intense sunlight or heat will cause your inks to dry faster, and moist air from an air conditioner or open window can make the paper warp and jam.

Use a surge protecting power strip for both your computer and printer. Never turn a printer on or off from a power strip. When you use the on/off button on a printer it parks the printer head in a certain place. Shutting the printer down from a power strip interrupts the normal shut down procedure and can lead to the heads drying out or becoming clogged.

If you use your printer everyday, it's OK to just leave it on. Printers use minimal energy and leaving it in stand-by mode usually doesn't waste energy. Do turn it off if it's not going to be used for several days of weeks. Regular use is the best way to keep a printer running optimally, so try to print something at least every 7 to 10 days.

Detach From Attachments

One of the great conveniences of modern e-mail is the ability to share files with others. We like to share documents with work colleagues, we send pictures of our kids and pets to friends and relatives, and we even e-mail files to ourselves so we can retrieve them elsewhere without carrying any sort of physical storage media along. All of these things do more good than harm, but attachments do have their dark underbelly.

Antivirus software does a good job of detecting and neutralizing attachment borne threats, but user vigilance is always recommended. Keep your antivirus software definition's up to date and be wary of attachments in messages from senders you don't know.

The other downside of attachments is that extremely large ones can clog up your e-mail as effectively as a hairball in a drainpipe. Many internet service providers place a cap on attachment sizes and 'bounce' messages with overly large attachments back to the sender.

Occasionally, a file that is just under the size limit will get past the filters but still cause problems. If your e-mail client repeatedly hangs up while attempting to retrieve messages, there may be a workaround if your service provider offers Web-based access to your account. These days, most do. To rid yourself of a message with an oversized attachment, log into the Web version of your e-mail account and delete it from there. This will also delete the messages from your providers server and thus keep it from interfering with your e-mail client software.

If you must send a large attachment - more than 1MB in size, it is advisable to compress it with compression software such as WinZip or Stuffit. Doing this will reduce the size of the file and also protect it against becoming corrupted in transit.

The new Photoshop is evolutionary, with some significant under-the-hood recoding. Improved functionality offers enough of an advantaged for frequent users to make upgrading worthwhile. However, the program requires a powerful computer.

You'll need an approved graphics board that supports OpenGL and Shader Model 3.0 and has at least 256MB of onboard RAM (1GB works better). You'll want at least 4GB or RAM, though 8GB is preferable. That means a 64-bit Vista system.

CS4 works with 32-bit, but 64-bit means processing large image files entirely in RAM, faster thanthe hard drive memory-swapping on a 32-bit system. We were annoyed Adobe automatically installed a 32-bit and 64-bit version until realizing most Photoshop plug-ins haven't yet migrated to 64-bit capability.

Thanks to tighter integration with the layers panel, drawing a mask, then applying an Adjustment automatically creates the related Adjustments layer. And Brush tools enhancements thankfully involve more sensitive Dodge, Burn, and Sponge tools.

Better integration with Lightroom means CS4's Camera RAW 5 plug-in no longer competes with Lightroom 2. You can choose to open a Lightroom picture in CS4 as a layered image, a panorama, or a Smart Object.

Clicking Help no longer takes you to a traditional menu. Instead, it goes to a disorganized Support page.

Many of Photoshop CS4's advantages seem incremental, unless they provide a more efficient use of your time. If you work with Photoshop day in and day out, an upgrade is worth your while, though you may need a beefier system to rin it. However, if you use Photoshop only occasionally, you may be justified in waiting for CS5.

Follow these pointers to keep readers coming back to your Website or blog:

1. On-screen, sans serif fonts are easier to read than serif fonts. Avoid script fonts.

2. When using multiple fonts, amke sure they contrast with and complement each other, such as mixing a serif with sans serif. Using two similar san serif fonts just looks like bad design.

3. Don't use more than three fonts on a page. You can vary point sizes and emphasize within each font to get variety of looks. Any more fonts than that usually looks like the work of an amatuer.

7. Black text on a white background offers the best contrast. If you insist on a black background, which is hard on readers eyes, use white or yellow text for best contrast. Avoid low-contrast themes, such as green or blue againts a white background. Don't even think about yellow on white. The same goes for red, blue or grey against a dark background.

Here is a VAIO for those people who ultimately love tools. A very special palm-rest made of a very special material. When you open your notebook, the first thing you notice is its palm-rest. This very important form is also what you touch most when using a PC.

That is why they paid special attention to forming this key element from the best possible material. Most palm-rest fade and wear out over time. So they made ours from the same sort of aluminium that is utilized in custom car wheels to bring beautiful textures along with lighter weight, thinner profiles and greater strength. In short, everything needed to give notrebook PC's a more functional form. They even treated the surface to prevent natural corrosion.

Processing aluminium this way, however, required sophisticated technology. To perfect it, the VAIO development team visited Tsubame City in Niigata Prefecture, where metal-working has been an honoured skill since the Edo Era, when the city first became famous making traditional Japanese nails. The area is still home to many skilled artisans.

They worked with these craftsmen to develop their palm-rest. To shape the aluminium, they use cutting-edge extrusion molding that extrudes the metal from precision molds at extremely high temperatures. This heat adds strength to the aluminium form while adding the ideally smooth and rounded surface they were looking for.

The end result was a new palm-rest a mere 0.7mm thick, cross-hatched with beautifully functional hairlines. This palm-rest is the most eye-catching feature of the new VAIO SZ's wide yet slim body. National Telecommunications Commission ( NTC ) just release the new guidelines for the validity period of a prepaid cellphone load. With these guidelines it will help our subscribers extend the life of their prepaid loads. This new policy will be effective on July 19, 2009 to all networks.

Rates and Validity Periods:

* Php 10 or lower for 3 days
* Php 10 to Php 50 for 15 days
* Php 50 to Php 100 for 30 days
* Php 100 to Php 150 for 45 days
* Php 150 to Php 250 for 60 days
* Php 250 to Php 300 for 75 days
* Php 300 above for 120 days

The NTC also wants to ensure that at this time rules will be followed and to those who violate will be punishable by law. They also make sure that they wont allow those spam messages, unwanted wallpapers, logo's or ringtones sent to our subscribers.

The NTC also required all mobile network operators in the Philippines to provide subscribers data records upon request for free. Subscribers should also check their credit balance for free.

These new set of directives were made following a public uproar over "vanishing" prepaid phone credits to our subscribers.
